Over 50 youths across the towns of the Ido-Osi Local Government Area converged at the Oba’s Palace at Ido Town, led by the Human Right Advocate for the Local Government Area for the rally. The participants were welcomed by Barr. Stanley C. Okonkwo and sensitized them briefly on human rights. The participants received their shirts and caps and the rally began at 11:00am with the theme KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.
The participants went from street to street sharing handbills to the people of the town. There was music by the band for the participants to sing and dance during the rally. Sensitization talks were held from point to point for the indigenes as well as drama presentations.
During the rally, questions were asked by indigenes pertaining to human rights and what Justice Development and Peace Initiative was about. The rally went on for 2 hours and everyone converged at the meeting point to round up. Food and drinks were given to the participants.
The rally was brought to a close at 1:00pm by Barr. Abisola Fayose who appreciated them for participating.
